Out of the Darkness COMMUNITY WALKS
sunday, october 4, 2015
The core of the Out of the Darkness Walks, the Community Walks are proof that when people work together, they can make big changes in our world. The walks raise awareness for suicide prevention as they raise the resources we need to carry out our mission. With nearly 200,000 people walking in 350 cities across the country, they are AFSP’s biggest fundraiser and the driver of the suicide prevention movement.

Tattoo Tom's Tahoe 200: Tom Mitchell, whose daughter, Shayla died of cancer at the age of 17, is running a 200 mile ultra marathon around Lake Tahoe. He is carrying the photos of 200 children that are currently fighting or have lost their battle with pediatric cancer. One.Love.Loudoun is honored to be sponsoring mile #99 - Little Sally Sunshine! This would not have been possible without donations from 25+ donations from our loyal supporters!
"Stillbrave Childhood Cancer Foundation "Strength for the Strong" is a nonprofit committed to helping the families of children battling cancer in any way we can. So while they are fighting the toughest war of their lives, we will fight their lesser battles, so they don't have to. They are not only here to support children with cancer; we are here to help ease the burden of the family and the caregivers who are fighting battles of their own."

We are shaving our heads to raise money for childhood cancer research! Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So we decided to do something about it by raising money for cures.
Now we need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
